Should I use a set or a kit?

Distinguish a regular equipment group from a packing list for a job.

KitsUpdated

A set groups equipment you treat as a unit. A kit records what you are taking on a particular job.

  • Set: for example, a camera, lens and monitor you offer together. Maintain the group under My gear.
  • Kit: for example, “Friday interview”. Include equipment, accessories and custom lines for consumables. Check them when packing and returning.

In practice

Use a set for a recurring combination. Create the packing list for the actual job under Kits. Include small parts that are outside the regular equipment group.

A shared kit’s contents are an overview. Sharing them does not create an automatically bookable rental offer.
